The Midwest's gem of a music festival, Saturday in the Park, had been held completely FREE of charge in the heart of the Midwest for 29 straight years. A unique venue, the bandshell, with amazing artists including Aretha Franklin, Flo Rida, Santana, Avett Bros, Black Crows, BB King, Counting Crows, Sublime with Rome, Steve Winwood, Gogol Bordello, Gary Clark Jr., CeeLo, and the list goes on! …And that's just the main stage!

The Fourth of July, 2020 was supposed to be the 30th anniversary of the Saturday in the Park music festival. Can a community pull together during this pandemic? What it took to pull off the 30th celebration and the future of the festival.
During the heart of the COVID-19 pandemic of 2020, a spotlight is shown on Sioux City, Iowa where the festival is held... but for different reasons. The question remains, have divisive times split the people of such a strong community?
How we move forward and get through these tough times apart... together.
We need to act as a community and think of each other.
Together we can do so much.
You may be spectacular on your own, but think of the spectacle if you rise up with other bright people.
Sometimes we look at the same thing... differently. It is ok to have a different point of view.
If you are headed in the same direction, you don't have to walk right along side someone, just don't get in their way.
If we build up together, there is so much more we can do.
We shine brightest when we shine together. You don't have to hold your light up, but don't mind those that do.
Rise up together... who knows, you might have some fun in the process.
29 years of a unifying community festival. Now, for the 30th anniversary, can we act as a community during a pandemic and pull off the ultimate comeback from being apart? Stay tuned.
